Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pictoria ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app. Pictoria is operated by Codexia. Pictoria is an AI photo editor: you provide a photo and a style or instruction, and the app returns an edited image. The app is designed to require as little personal data as possible. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal contact information to use the app.
1. Your Photos & AI Processing
When you edit a photo — whether by choosing a style or by describing the change you want — the image is used only to produce your edited result. This is the most important thing to understand about Pictoria and your privacy:
- The photo you provide is uploaded to our server and sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) for processing. The AI applies the style or instruction and returns the edited image.
- The photo you upload is deleted from our server after processing. We do not keep your original image, and we do not use your photos to train any AI model.
- The edited result is held briefly in secure cloud storage so your device can download it, and is deleted once it has been delivered to you. It is not kept as a permanent library on our servers.
- Your finished images are saved on your device, in the app's gallery. They are removed when you delete the app, or whenever you delete them yourself.
Camera and photo-library access are used solely so you can provide a photo to edit. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
2. Information We Process
Pictoria works with an anonymous account that is created automatically on your device. We do not collect information that personally identifies you. The app processes the following limited data:
- Anonymous identifier — an anonymous account ID created on your device, used to operate the app, track your credit balance, and deliver your subscription. It is not linked to your real-world identity. Basic technical details such as your app version, language, platform, or time zone may be processed to run the service.
- Your edit requests — the style you selected and any text instruction you typed, so the AI can produce the result you asked for. Do not include sensitive personal information in the text you write.
- Credit and usage records — how many editing credits you have and when they are used, so the app can meter what you have paid for.
- Usage analytics — a small number of anonymous events about how the app is used are recorded so we can understand what works and improve the app. These events are tied only to your anonymous identifier, not to your real-world identity.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription or credit purchase and which plan, so the app can unlock features. Purchases are processed by Apple and our subscription provider; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Marketing attribution — if you arrived from a campaign, limited non-identifying attribution data (such as the campaign or country) may be recorded so we can understand which of our efforts work.
- Push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device token is used to tell you when your image is ready and to deliver support replies. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your finished images and edit history are stored on your device. Your anonymous account record — credit balance, subscription status, and the limited technical details listed above — is stored on our secure servers under your anonymous identifier. Deleting the app removes the images and history stored on your device.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Pictoria uses the following third-party services, which process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:
- Google Gemini — receives the photo and the instruction to perform the AI edit and generate your result. Images are processed for the edit and are not retained by Pictoria afterward.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Storage, Cloud Messaging) — creates your anonymous account, stores your credit and subscription record, briefly holds your finished image for download, and delivers notifications.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier and subscription events to manage your entitlement; it does not receive your name or payment card details.
- Apple — App Store purchases and subscription billing. We do not receive or store your payment details.
5. Advertising & Tracking
Pictoria does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not sell your data.
6. Support Messages
If you contact us by email, we process the messages you send and your anonymous user ID so we can reply and provide support. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your messages.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep the limited data described above only as long as needed to operate the app and your subscription. Uploaded photos are deleted from our server after processing, and finished images are removed from cloud storage once delivered to your device. Your gallery and history live on your device and are removed when you delete the app. If you would like us to delete the anonymous account and any data associated with your installation, contact us at the email below and we will assist you.
8. Content & AI Disclaimer
Images produced by Pictoria are generated by AI and are intended for creative and entertainment purposes. AI results can be unpredictable and may not accurately depict real people, places, or events. You are responsible for the photos you upload and for how you use the images you create. See our Terms of Service for the full terms.
9. Children's Privacy
Pictoria is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Since Pictoria does not collect personal identifiers, we may need additional information to locate the anonymous data tied to your installation. Contact us using the details below to make a request.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
12. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
